Highlights

Instructions for use:

1. Attach the satin stitch presser foot to the machine.
2. Prepare the fabric and the stitch application you want.
3. Add a tear-away interfacing under the fabric to reinforce the area where the appliqués or decorative seams will be sewn.
4. Slightly loosen the upper tension.
5. Select the desired stitch. Zigzag stitches are most commonly used for appliqués.
6. Place the fabric with the appliqué under the satin stitch presser foot.
7. Adjust the stitch length: the stitches should be close together, but not stacked.
8. Adjust the stitch width: the stitches should cover the cut edge of the appliqué.
9. Sew around the entire appliqué, completely covering the cut edges.

Details

The satin stitch presser foot is used for decorative seams, appliqués, and other surface embellishments on projects. It is also called an appliqué presser foot for appliqués or for special purposes.


This presser foot has a tunnel at the bottom to allow the
sewn fabric to pass smoothly underneath.

 

Note: Metallic, tweed, or other decorative threads can be used in the upper part of the machine. Keep the multi-purpose thread in the bobbin.
